CURRENT HIRING

 

We are currently looking for Baker to join our team! The Baker will be part of our Samples and Special Orders kitchen, which is responsible for developing new product lines of customized bakery goods and testing new recipes before they are introduced into mass production. The ideal candidate should be organized, attentive, focused on food quality, and possess a strong understanding of baking techniques

JOB DUTIES

•               Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet treats, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, along with icings and frostings, following recipes or specific customer requests

•               Bake the mixed doughs and batters, and then frost and decorate cakes or other baked items.

•               Ensure that the quality of the products aligns with established standards

•               Develop a production schedule to determine the type and quantity of goods to be produced

•               Purchase baking supplies as needed

•               Supervise the sales and merchandising aspects of baked goods as required

•               Maintain stock to ensure a ready supply for experimental recipes

•               Keep records of deliveries, inventory, and production

•               Use and operate mixing and blending machines

•               Ensure the workplace is always maintained clean and organized, and work is performed in a safe manner

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

•               Secondary School Diploma or equivalent

•               At least 7 months of related experience

•               Attention to detail, especially when performing quality inspections on ingredients and products

•               Must be able to speak basic English to communicate with other staff members and have enough reading knowledge to understand menu and special orders

 

 

BENEFITS AND SALARY

•               Permanent, full-time position

•               $19.00 per hour for a minimum of 37 – 40 hours per week

•               Overtime may be required and will be paid at 1.5 of your regular hourly rate after 44 hours per week
