Accounting bookkeeper

Noel Booth Childcare is a family-owned business that has been proudly operating since 2008. Noel Booth Childcare is a school age program that operates before and after school on Noel Booth Elementary school grounds.

Job Duties:

1) Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll

2)Calculate fixed assets and depreciation

3)Prepare tax returns

4)Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems

5)Maintain general ledgers and prepare financial statements

6) Prepare financial and accounting reports.

7)Complete and submit tax remittance forms.

8) Post journal entries

9)Prepare trial balance of books

10)Calculate and pay some utilities, tax and other bills

11)Resolve work-related problems and prepare and submit progress

Experience/Skills Requirements:

1)  At least one year’s full time of experience as a financial or accounting clerk are required.

2)Completion of a college program in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field.

3) Must be fluent in spoken and written English, at least CLB 7

4) Good knowledge in computer software programs including MS office, excel, and bookkeeping systems, etc.

Salary: $CAD 50,960per year ($28/hour)

Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-time,35hours per week
